A 72-HOLE STABLEFORD EVENT
Ladies and Gents play in separate 3-ball competitions in various divisions depending on their handicap. Prizes are awarded for each round, for each course, and for the full event.
The field in the RDGW 2026 will be split with half playing one course and the other playing another course per day. Competitors are randomly paired in 3-balls so you meet new golfing friends from across the UK and beyond. Where possible, we try to assign tee times in close proximity for those who are travelling together.

THE GOLF CLUBS
The tournament is held over four stunning golf courses in beautiful Royal Deeside.
NOT A GOLFER?
The RDGW is the ideal golfing holiday with plenty to do for non-players too. Visit the famous castles of Aberdeenshire (including the Royal residence at Balmoral), sample a wee dram at the local whisky distilleries, fish for salmon on the world-famous River Dee, soar the thermals at Deeside Gliding school, or tour the beautiful Cairngorm National Park.
A free day has been included in the week to allow you to visit these places of interest and scenic beauty which abound in Royal Deeside. Alternatively, we can arrange an optional extra golf day at one of the RDGW venues or other local courses.

SCOTLAND’S LARDER
Royal Deeside is also renowned as “Scotland’s larder”. Eating and drinking in Royal Deeside is a gastronomic delight with something for every taste, inclination and budget. The very best of Scottish fayre is presented along with Continental and Eastern cooking.
WHERE TO STAY?
Accommodation is in abundance ranging from 4-Star Hotels to family-run Bed & Breakfasts which offer exceptional value. Details can be found on the respective club websites or fill out the contact form, and we will assist in finding comfortable and affordable accommodation for your week.
GETTING HERE?
The A90 dual carriageway up from Edinburgh and Glasgow takes you along Scotland’s Eastern coastline with world-renowned links courses available to play if you want to break your journey.
Why not take the alternate scenic route over the magnificent Glenshee mountain range to immerse yourself in the history and beauty of the Cairngorms.
